Oh poor Sal! Hope your all better soon!
(BTW I feel incredibly ancient - I knew who Robert Plant was immediately... sigh!)
So tackling Mr Plant to the ground had a rather bad effect..oh dear Sal ....hope you feel better soon.
Get thee to an Osteopath! They worked miracles on mine, I could hardly walk beggining 2004... 4 weeks later, and yes, I still had problems (one of my L vertebra does not sit correctly, and so presses on the sciatic... never good when it gets "stuck"...) but it was 1000% better!
Very gentle *hugs*
sending healing thoughts your wey
I would usually totally agree with you NikkI. My sanity has been saved by several osteopaths over nearly (gulp) 30 years ( I was a child sufferer - obviously:-)) but - and this is really dumb I know - I have got so fat I am too embarassed to go. Dumb, like I said. But there you have it, pain making me far too honest. Or all the medicinal alcohol. Found a great book in the bookcase with a series of exercises starting from "When you are in agony......" and they are beginning to work - couldn't have typed this long yesterday - back to bed!
Thank you all for your good wishes - much appreciated!!
Ooh, nasty! I was getting quite regular bouts at one time. So horrible and frustrating. Then I discovered the problem was the position I had come to naturally sleep in which was actually twisting my spine. Since forcing myself to sleep in a more "kind to spine" position, no problems for a good while now - touch wood! Hope you feel better soon, Sal.
ooh, sorry about your pain Sal :o( Sending hugs your way.
Thanks so much for the comment you left on my blog, I really appreciate it. I don't have body crises toooo often (try to ignore it mostly!) but when I do, I REALLY do! And they usually occur in changing rooms.
Anyway, I won't go on and on about it :o)
Feel better soon. xxx
Ouch, hope you feel much better soon! Definitely get to an osteopath/physio if you can. I've had trouble with pressure on the sciatic nerve on and off for a couple of years, the physio treatment coupled with a simple back stretch exercise sorted it out.
I suffered with a bad back for years...then for some reason I stopped using two pillows and just used one. End of bad back....
Hard luck...back pain is one of the worst. Hope you get better soon.
I've just read your comment above Sal. Don't be so bloody ridiculous!! Get to the osteopath asap. It isn't WeighWatchers!! xxx
I'm over weight too & had to see a Chiropractor recently as I was in horrendous pain with my back.
My 7th rib was out of place & half an hour later I walked out with everything back in it's rightful place.
Just do it - you can always do situps or whatever when your back is sorted.
Yep, I'm also horendously overweight. This is waht gives me some of teh problems I have, beyong teh vertebra not quite sitting right... and they sorted me just fine.
So, you can always bet they have treated someone larger! ;-)
I hope that you are feeling better. Back pain suqs.
*hugs*
